10000 IU/kg of cholecalciferol (max 400000 IU)
Age > 37 weeks to < 18 years
* Children in Intensive Care need Vitamin D loading dose of 10000 IU per kg (nearing a consensus) - Oct 2016
* Give ICU children a bolus dose of 10,000 IU of vitamin D per kg – RCT underway Sept 2024 update of the study on this page - which was probably delayed by COVID
