The increase of Christianity imparted a different soul and aim to oil painting designs. Byzantine art, once its design was recognized by the 6th millennium, placed excellent focus on maintaining conventional iconography and design, and progressively progressed during the million decades of the Byzantine Kingdom and the residing customs of Ancient and European Traditional icon-painting. Byzantine oil painting has a hieratic sensation and symbols were and still are seen as a reflection of heavenly exposure. There were many frescos, but less of these have live through than mosaics. Byzantine art has been in comparison to modern abstraction, in its flatness and extremely decorative depictions of numbers and scenery.
